I am still surviving

Hey, looks like I break my words again about not leaving the blog empty. I am sorry dear lifeofburningold. I am here just want to say, I am still surviving dental school. Or should I say, I HAVE TO SURVIVE. Oh Lord, help me and ease our studies, I know it is difficult and there will always people who are smarter, but all I want is for both of us to finish studies and obtain the scrolls. Both of us insya-Allah.

My bestfriend is in Aussie!

14th July, I sent off my bestfriend to the airport. She is doing accounting in Aussie and will graduate by the next 3 years where I will be here, stuck in IIUM finishing my Bachelor of Dental Surgery pfft..

Thank God I had the chance to see her for the last time before she flew off. I am not sure how to describe this girl. Everything about her is just perfect for me. She is one of the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon me. Alhamdulilah because Allah has destined you and I to meet and become bestfriend for life. :)

Reminiscing the memory, we had been through a lot of things. Quarreling, loving, crying, love-hate relationship. To be honest, I was quite a stubborn girl before. Big-headed and 'garang' (garang2 comel je k). I was way too sensitive and easily get sulk just because of simple things. I am totally impressed up until now on how they cope up with this super-sensitive girl. Like it was amazing that they can stay with me despite of the chaos and pain that I caused to them.

But it is worth it in the end.

Our friendship stay strong like nothing can break it apart. We knew each other very well. Supporting each other through ups and downs. Listen to each other's problems. Advising each other for what is good and wrong without a single judgement being made. I am not sure how I would survive without these people. They are my backbone besides my family.

There was this case that happened during Form 3. We had a fight, I mean a massive one because we did not speak to each other for about 2-3 months I reckoned. Of course, it was my fault from the beginning, being too sensitive and stubborn as usual. It made me realize that I could not survive without them. I was totally in despair and engulfed by desolation. From that moment, I solemnly promised to myself that I will take good care of this friendship and will never break it. I had never feel so much love for other people except for them. I love you Aquamarine.

need to censor my face and Umi's. hehe

Aqila Yasmin is one of the strongest girl I have met. She is that kind of girl who is totally determine to achieve her dreams despite of what people said. She would never be indecisive and once she set her mind to achieve her goals, she will do it even though it requires big sacrifices, Well, she is a beauty with brain. A multi-talented person she is. A debater. A good daughter. A humble student. Someone will be lucky to marry you, you know that Aqila?! haha Ish, I feel like marrying you right now hahaha

Loving this picture soooo much because we looked so blithe! Even though I was in grief :(

Looking so happy huh dekat Aussie. Bawak balik Mat Aussie sorang please. hik3

I love you so much my bestfriend. Thank you for being with me, the one who gives you headache before hehe. But trust me, I will be there with you if you ever need me. Jaga iman jaga diri dekat sana k bae.

Finally, am a dental student!

Hey peeps! Yeah it's me again. I noticed that I wrote a lot(compared to before). Sorry dude, too excited to be back to blogging once again.

So alhamdulillah that I have been accepted in Kuliyyah of Dentistry (KOD)! AMAD sent the e-mail last week. Precisely saying, 2 days before the registration day. What?! We(UNGS students) were quite furious of how wrecked the management was. 2 days notice was not enough! Luckily my house is just a stone throw away from IIUM Kuantan but poor those who are from Sabah Sarawak because airplane tickets aint that cheap dude. RM1000 for return tickets. It's just wow and what more they need to go back to their hometown this Eid. Double payment there.

So far I have yet started my degree class because IIUM obliged its students to complete UNGS which stands for University General Studies. Here we learn about Islamic knowledge and civilization sort of..? My lecturers are from Sudan and you really need to focus on their lectures because their accents are quite, I wouldnt say hard to understand but need some efforts to really comprehend what they speak.

It's freaking cold here! My room is at level 7, luckily we have lifts here unlike mahallah al-Biruni Gambang. Pray for me guys, a future dentist and also a future specialist insyaAllah. Amin. Thank you :)

Atuk or Aki?

Qaisara played with my phone where suddenly it lighted up and show its wallpaper of mama and ayah.

Qaisara: Acu, shape ni?(pelat)
Me: Tu Opah(referring to my mom)
Qaisara: Ohh Opah. Ni shape? (She pointed to my dad)
Me: Ohh. Hm..

I was actually went into silence because I really had no idea what should I reply. Tok Ayah? Tokki? Aki? Atuk? Hmm.. Ayah, if you were alive now, I really wonder what your grandchildren will call you. I really hope to see your face smiling at them when they call you Atuk or whatnot.

I ask mama afterwards.

Me: Ma, Qaisara nak panggil ayah apa? Grandpa? haha
Mama: Atuk mungkin. *smile
Me: Haa Qaisara, ini atuk kakak.
Qaisara: Oh atuk.

I miss you ayah..

Why I did not approve strangers.

Hai peeps! Happy Ramadhan!! (Ramadhan tiba Ramadhan tiba, Marhaban ya Ramadhan....) excuse my singing pls. *cough

It is the 7th day of Ramadhan and couldnt believe that a week has passed by! I feel so blessed to fast at home. One thing that Allah has given to me is to be able to eat suhoor and break fast with my family. How couldnt I be happy? Because for 2 years I had been fasting at the university and of course fasting with friends is fun but to do it with your family is beyond happiness! Alhamdulilah :) Yesh, enough for the introduction.

During my secondary school life, I used to indiscriminately approve all friend requests either on Myspace or Friendster. I was quite popular in those social medias because of my 'sociable behaviour'. I admit that I used to be so immature in using social medias, which explain why I despise of how Facebook keep on showing my old statuses. I abruptly delete some of them because they were totally ludicrous and stupid which I literally want to punch myself for that.

Years passed by and I think I had evolved to be lady-like person who is totally elegant modest and do not chase the fame anymore. I feel that this is the time where my social medias should be about daily reminders, communicating with my friends and taking into details of what are happening around us be it in news or thread. That was where I started to delete some of people in my Facebook friend list who I barely know. From 1500 friends, I keep it down until 800 friends only. But there are still more who I shall delete later on. Same goes with my twitter and my instagram, they are flooded with follow requests. It is nearly 200 people sent requests to follow my instagram but me being safe and insecure, wont approve them.

News regarding people who steal our pictures and do nasty things on them made my blood run cold >.< It's totally hard to trust people nowadays. One can cast spell on you if they had your full pictures. Plus, some of those evil people actually go far by editing the pics to be half-naked or even no piece of clothes at all! I pray hard that my family and my friends are protected by Allah SWT from those villains. In spite of that, I really think that it's OKAY for us to upload some pictures(literally thats the use of socmeds kan?), but you shall keep it modest ay?

Ultimately, I wouldnt approve people who I hardly recognize except for acquaintance and girls only. Some of the reasons why I wouldnt approve you:

-You use cartoon and etc as your default picture.
-We do not have mutual friends at all (How the heck did you find me?!)
-Profiles with full of nasty words and curse
-Your name is freaking peculiar. eg; Katak Hensem. (what...?)
-Men except acquaintances
-Online shop(I dont have any intention to buy anything unless I approve you so I might do so)
-Those acah yuzlimik which all you care is being judgmental and me-neraka-kan orang.
-People whose feeds are full with their selfies.
-People who ask me to follow back. No dude no.

But, if you really want to get acquainted with me you can do so by pm-ing me first and I can approve you. I am super friendly you know. *angkat kening. Hahaha I sound so snobbish here, but I hope you will understand why I wouldnt blindly approve you because of some reasons. Ceh bajet je ada orang nak kenal kau kan huh

p/s: I bought 3 new novels... and I am not sure when will I read them bcs there are some more on the racks waiting for me aishh.

My favourite band ever.

Pengalaman di CFS IIUM Gambang

I noticed that my pageviews have increased substantially for these past few weeks. So I thought maybe some of you guys (1998 babies) might stumble across my blog because I WAS one of CFS IIUM Gambang students haha. I know you people must feel so anxious and excited to enroll in CFS, am I right? Of course I had been there before. That kind of feeling where you feel so motivated and couldnt wait to become a university student because it seems cool (but it's not). So what's up about CFS IIUM Gambang and PJ?

First, let me clarify that I got 'Asasi Pergigian' after attaining all A's in SPM 2013. And yes I went to CFS in 2014 so it has been 2 years already la kan. CFS Gambang was opened by January 2014 and our seniors were the first batch to occupy that 'forest' and in June, the second batch which is my batch had enrolled in CFS. Fyi, there were 2 CFS right now(Gambang and PJ), which had enforced IIUM to separate some courses.

At first, CFS Gambang only consists of Medic, Dentistry and Pharmacy students which sum up about 300++ students per batch, and in 2015, there were new students of Physical Science and Nursing came in. We were quite excited to know there will be new courses in CFS Gambang because guysss, it was freaking lonely there! With only 500++ students (our seniors plus us) and in a place where you need 1 hour just to go to the town(Kuantan) by bus, what do you expect from us? haha So by having new people, the place was quite lively.

Upon entering the gate of CFS, I would say I was in shock because there were a lot of buildings that were still under construction! And surprisingly, we only had administration building and mahallah al-Biruni. First day of registration and my spirits just cracked. In spite of that 'spectacular view', I still love CFS Gambang though. The perks of being second batch there, you are given more advantages and attention from administration. Moreover, the friendship built there are so precious. Ukhuwwah gituuuu! Plus, your lecturers remember your name and your faces because those faces were the one that we see each day for over 2 years. 2 years passed by, CFS is getting a makeover. Amenities and such have improved a lot with beautiful turqoise-and-gray-themed buildings. We were also the pioneers who explore those buildings even though they were still in the process of construction. Yeah, we are that rebellious after principal forbade us from entering the prohibited sites haha!

Did I mention that we only had one mahallah(hostel) and brothers and sisters need to share the same building? Yes... During the registration process, I heard some parents questioned about this issue but this is the only option that we had. Other mahallah(s) were not completed yet thus the arrangement need to be done. But of course, the mahallah office separate both genders and there were barriers between the blocks. Block A and B for brothers while C, D and E were occupied by sisters. Oh in IIUM, we regard someone as brother and sister instead of mahasiswa and mahasiswi. One of the reasons why you should choose IIUM, Hiks.

IIUM has this Taaruf Week or people call it as TaWe. Amidst the TaWe, new students are required to sit for a few examinations such as Arabic Placement Test(APT), English Placement Test(EPT) and Fardhu Ayn Test and ustaz/ustazah will listen to your Quranic recitation to decide whether you need to attend Quranic class or not. IIUM is a place where they target the students to excel academically and also to enhance their understanding about Islamic knowledge. :') I love IIUM. I advise you to do well in those examinations because it might help you in arranging your study plan. Those tests will determine your level and if you are exempted in both languages, you will need not worry about taking those subjects during your first semester.

Ok enough talking. Maybe pictures will intrigue you? :)

The day of registration. I used to be like this girl in the picture. Full of motivation and spirits.

TaWe time!

I swear I looked so tanned wearing white scarf and I hate this pic so much hahaha

This was the time when my roommates and I jogged around IIUM in the morning. Yesh we jogged in the prohibited area. The area was still under construction, but come on, we were in our last sem and curiosity was killing us inside so ignore the rules. hak3 One more thing, I fell in the toilet afterward because it was slippery and the swelling was horrendous man! I was clumsy I know but jarang giler k aku jatuh. Sekali kene, meraung. Poor rommates ceq tengok ceq meroyan x berhenti2. hahaha

That's Darul Hikmah(library)

Look how my lovely junior ni ceroboh library. Lagi advance dari senior dia ni ha -_-. Hai marsya!! You are featured in my blog hehe

I am still curious what Mimar Sinan is?

This road will lead you to new mahallah(s). I dont have enough courage to go in there because there were some labors.

Such a breathtaking view isnt it?

If you were late and miss the bus, you will need to walk from admin buliding(our temporary classes) to go back to the mahallah. Thats our mahallah al-Biruni. The walking take about 10 to 15 minutes.

CFS Stadium! Gambar sebelum track disiapkan. We are not allowed to play on the track but ramai je yang photoshoot kat situ hek3

Haa, ni spesies kene tinggal bas la ni. So jalan kaki la jawabnya.

Maghrib's view. Two buses yang berkhidmat untuk angkut pelajar. Untuk sementara jela khidmat ni.

Tadaaa, inside of Mahallah al-Biruni. We have futsal court here! Brothers will play futsal or badminton in the morning and evening daily. But your evening will be so miserable because of the noise they made and those screaming really give you headache. My evening had never be in peace during my second year here :') We hate them a lot but eventually telinga dah imun and we girls be like, 'Ahh lantak ko la nak bising ke tak. Aku dah tak kisah'.

Our little so-called baazar ramadhan here. There will be bus trip to baazar in Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang if you request the authority but for now I am not sure. Dont get your hope high haha. Just anticipate your Ramadhan in CFS Gambang this year ok newbie?

This is our one and only kiosk. We call the owner as Pakcik Rahim. Buat baik nahh dengan dia.

Padang pasir sungguh UIA dengan pokok-pokok ni.

Uploaded this pic because Amy looked pretty! This pic was taken during our 2nd sem in PJ, doing the practical lab. Semua acah doktor padahal dentist haha

My pre-PBL mates! PBL stands for problem based learning. It was hard but
our efforts really paid off because we got high marks for PBL Biology 1. Btw, that is our temporary mini library in admin building.

My Biology 1 lecturer, Sir Ng. Hehe curi2 snap gambar sir. Did you know that sisters are obliged to wear white scarves every Wednesday? I hate white scarf. Some called this day as Noble Day for sisters.

Terawih during Holy Month of Ramadhan.

We have Biah Solehah Campaign(BSC) here. Majlis2 ilmu and 'gerak Subuh' all those things were conducted by them.

Grand Iftar 2015! Those Gambang-ians helped each other to prepare meal for iftar. Masa ni best sangat! Dapat makanan free kot :')

IIUM's Eid Celebration. Haa tu daging kambing. Special for students in Gambang only :') Sedap weh pakcik ni masak. Menambah2 gua. There were so many types of dishes and kuih muih served by the lecturers.

G647 hangout in Pantai Teluk Cempedak. It's our bonding time! Ukhuwwah tu cenggini haa! *thumbs up

With our Physics lecturer, Sir Omar. Our last class with him in the surau.

Miss Siti Hajar, the one who taught us Biology 2. I aced my Bio2 because of her frankly speaking. You should be grateful if you have her as your lecturer :)

Annual Grand Dinner 2016. Time to bid farewell to CFS Gambang.

In CFS, we have a few societies such as MEDCY, BSC, FSCC, MRC, HRC, FRC. and many more C haha. If you want to know what are the differences between those, ask your seniors ok! If I explain it here, it will be quite long. Are you eager to join them? Just fill in the form and other students will cast their vote. Want to be a President? Ask your friend to vote you during election day ok haha. But one thing I want to say, if you are that type of student who need to focus on your studies and want to maintain the CGPA, dont get involve too much in societies. It will distract you because societies give you loads of work! Moreover, you will have quizzes for almost every week after you have finished 1 chapter after another. Usually you are going to have 5 to 6 quizzes each sem and for each subject. Plus, there will be midterm examination for these subjects; EAW, Bio1, Bio2, RKA1 and RKA2. So manage your time properly! Those quizzes, midterm and projects are important as they influence your carry mark for your final exam. BUT! Getting involve in societies is fun. You should participate in those activities sometimes which consequently will widen your circle of friends. Well, matlamat kita kan nak jadi mahasiswa yang berdaya saing, mementingkan akademik tanpa melupakan kokurikulum. HAHAHA memandai je kan kau dahlia.

MEDCY, handling the Argument 2.0. It was a debate competition.

My subcom FSCC-mates! Had dinner at Ana Ikan Bakar Petai. Brother tersengih nampak gigi tu pelajar 4 flat tau! Bakal doktor insyaAllah.

Short getaway in Cherating

Last weekend my family had a little gathering. All my sisters and brother came back home so I got to see my niece and nephews and play with them! Actually we want to make a surprise for mama's birthday on 14th May. She didnt expect that her children and grandchildren will came back. That night we went to Lila Wadi to celebrate her birthday. My brother has booked the place on the first hand. It was really fun! The waiters even sang the birthday song for my mom and what more they even switch off the lamp just to make the surprise! Well of course we gave the cake (my SIL made it) to them and ask them to take it out while we eat but to light off and sing the birthday song is a surprise for us too haha. They are funny tho. Thanks Lila Wadi.

Next morning we went to Cherating as my SIL was having family day with her colleagues hence we tagged along. Holiday Villa is a nice place to have short escape because of its facilities worth 4 stars I would say. My niece and nephews had fun playing in the pool however, I did not get the chance to get into the pool because of my asthma. Ugh I hate air conditioner because it will trigger my asthma and it was hard to get things back to normal because I dont have that inhaler and in fact I am no regular consumer.

It feels so nice to be with people that you adore without thinking about assignments or exams :)
